Or as laymen call it St. Patrick’s Day... But Pshhh we all know what this holiday is about. It’s the day we all say we’re ’Irish’ just so we have an excuse to get totally wasted.
Even the tame sober people feel the need to kick back a few drinks on this day. So watch out. Because they’re the ones that will be barfing on your shoes before the nights over.
Personally, I think I'm doing things the right way. I'm sticking home, watching the Irish classic Boondock Saints (movie 1&2) and drinking Guinness.
Guinness -- smells amazing but kinda tastes like ass... I mean, after a few more I really won't care anymore, but still. Not exactly proud of the fact I'm willing to ingest something I don't even really like simply to be fashionable... I have no shame. You know what though, I could probably learn to love the stuff. It definitely isn't BAD. And the more I drink the less I cringe... Or maybe that's just the alcohol talking...
Anyways, I HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY and at least do a little something festive. Why not jump on the bandwagon and have a little fun?! You only live once, and today you get to live as an Irish.
Take advantage of the stereotype and have fun with it. Tomorrow we can go back to talking about how unfair it is to paint an entire nation as nothing more that alcoholic-flat-one dimensional characters.
